Use of liquid nitrogen in rubber hose manufacturing

Liquid nitrogen provides an efficient way for higher production rates due to faster and precision cooling.  It is imperative that the rubber hose is at the optimum temperature before it can be braided and manufactured. However, caution must be taken as too much cooling can damage or make the rubber brittle. On the other hand,   too little cooling will result in poor braiding, cutting, deformation and kinking besides causing numerous other issues. Liquid nitrogen will assist in controlling the hose temperature in the braiding process.

Cryogenic Material Separation

It is an efficient process delivering cleaner components. How cryogenic material works

The process uses liquid nitrogen to cool component parts to cryogenic temperature. As a result of extremely low temperatures, the polymer part shrinks at a faster rate than the metal part of the component because of the difference in their thermal expansion coefficients. The differential contraction causes enough pressure to bond between the polymer and the metal. The separation process can generate a stream clean metal ad a stream polymers free from metals. This results in efficient recovery and recycling.
